Our dear friend Carol, in 1986, you and Jeff gave Paul and I a gift of an Engaged Encounter weekend. From that moment on, you were both a listening ear, a speaker of wisdom (and humour!) and a wonderful support throughout our married life. We lived 5 minutes from you in High Wycombe and you were there as friends, as God parents to our daughters and as spiritual role models. We became Christians, in part because of you and your prayers and today, as we shared in your “goodbye”, it was that faith that comforted us with the knowledge that you are now home with our Lord.
To Roland and all of Carol’s family and friends, we hold you in our hearts and in our prayers. Carol, we know we will see you again. With love Diane and Paul Baxter

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
